и Calypogeia suecica
(Arnell & J. Perss.) Müll. Frib., или маховине Dicranum montanum Hedw., Dicranella
grevilleana (Brid.) Schimp., Fissidens taxifolius Hedw. subsp. pallidicaulis (Mitt.)
Mönk., Ulota calvescens Wilson, Weissia rutilans (Hedw.) Lindb. и W. rostellata (Brid.)
Lindb.
Amphidium mougeotii (Schimp.) Schimp., Buxbaumia viridis
(Moug. ex Lam. & DC.) Brid. ex Moug. & Nestl., Lophozia ascendens (Warnst.) R. M.
Schust., Seligeria pusilla (Hedw.) Bruch & Schimp.,
Sphagnum.

AB - Exploration of Serbian bryophyte flora considerably intensified during last decades, which brought valuable new data on
species distribution for the country. Compiled chorological data from Bryo database allowed preparing updated list of moss
species occurring in Serbia. Recent taxonomic and nomenclatural changes were taken into account, and taxa critically
approached. Total of 638 species and 35 infraspecific taxa are reported for the country. List of taxa includes data on their

AB - Considering recent progress of bryology in Serbia digitisation of bryophyte collection within BEOU (Bryo BEOU) was initiated. It is the important and largest collection of the bryophytes in the country, and represent a significant basis for all further research and analysis of bryophyte flora of Serbia. This collection also keeps relevant material from neighbouring countries that are considered poorly investigated (e.g. N. Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina). Here an overview of the specimens kept in the collection, data-based up to 2019, is given. However, work on the organisation and systematisation of this growing collection is ongoing.
Severna Makedonija, Albanija, Bosna i Hercegovina).

Based on a thorough review of the literature and herbarium data, an updated list of the hepatic and liverwort taxa present in Serbia is compiled and presented. Taking into account recent taxonomic and nomendatural changes, totals of 133 species and six infraspecific taxa are reported for the country. An additional eight species are rejected with explanatory annotations. The list includes data on the presence of taxa in separate regions and counties of the country.

AB - Bryophyte collection within the Herbarium of University of Belgrade (BEOU)
is largest in Serbia and it is still ongrowing. It is estimated that contains about 18000
specimens within two working collections. Work on the inventory and digitization has
begun, and 7506 specimens have been processed up to day. Collection has been
established in the beginning of the 1990s, hence almost all stored specimens were
collected after 1990. So far, it contains only 225 specimens from the earlier period.
More than half (4242) of the material is from the area of Serbia, while the rest is from
46 countries from 6 different continents. However, majority of the foreign material is
from Europe (e.g. Montenegro, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina etc.). Herbarium
contains 797 different taxa and 294 genera. More than 60% of the records in Bryo
BEOU were collected by Sabovljević and his co-workers. Most of the records were
made during spring and summer months, with peaks in May and July. Current period
of bryological research has brought many new records which represent important
source of information, especially for Serbia and other Balkan countries. Nevertheless,
collection is expanding over time and the work is not close to the final yet.

AB - The biogeography of bryophytes present in Serbia is analysed for the first time in this paper. Bryophyte spectra in different regions and units within the country are compared with each other, as well as with the Southeast European spectrum. The obtained results show similarities and differences in comparison with Southeast European bryophyte spectra, reveal certain biogeographical peculiarities of Serbias bryophytes and indicate regions of the country with an under-recorded bryoflora. The biogeographical characteristics of bryophytes also suggest a strong overlap with local climate types. These results should be taken into consideration when preparing a national strategy for conservation and management of bryophyte diversity.
