Influence of litter size on growth and structure of m. semitendinosus in newborn piglets and slaughter pigs

AB  - Modern meat production has to meet the requirements of profitability, while meeting the demands of consumers in terms of meat quality at the same time. Huge scientific work has been done in order to find balance between quantity and quality of meet. Most authors agree that piglets of lower birth weight have less muscle fibers within muscle, grow slower, compensating the muscle growth with increase of muscle fiber diameter and accumulating carcass fat. In recent years, selection in pig production has been directed towards increase of piglet number per litter. Since the inverse relation of litter size and birth weight has been well documented, the purpose of this work was to investigate the possible effects of litter size as a factor on pig growth and m. semitendinosus characteristics. Except the statistically significant difference (p=0,05) in number of primary fibers among piglets from small litter (15053) and large litter (11347), litter size did not influence birth weight, or other observed morphological and histological characteristics of the muscle significantly. Similarly, results of this research show that litter size as a factor did not affect final weight, morphological characteristics or fiber type distribution within the muscle in slaughter pigs.
AB  - Savremena proizvodnja mesa usmerena je na profitabilnost sa jedne strane uz istovremeno odgovaranje zahtevima potrošača u pogledu kvaliteta mesa sa druge. Isrcpna naučna istraživanja obavljaju se u cilju pronalaženja balansa između količine i kvaliteta mesa. Najveći broj autora slaže se da prasad manje porođajne mase ima manji broj mišićnih vlakana u skeletnim mišićima, sporije raste, kompenzujući mišićni porast povećanjem prečnika mišićnih vlakana i deponovanjem veće količine masti u trupu. Poslednjih godina selekcija u svinjarstvu bila je usmeravana u pravcu povećanja broja prasadi u leglu. Obzirom da je utvrđena inverzna korelacija između veličine legla i mase prasadi na rođenju, cilj ovog rada bio je da se prouče mogući uticaji veličine legla kao faktora na porast svinja i karakteristike m. semitendinosus-a. Osim utvrđene statistički značajne razlike (p=0,05) u broju primarnih vlakana kod prasadi iz malog legla (15053) u odnosu na prasad iz velikog legla (11347), analiza nije pokazala uticaj veličine legla na masu prasadi pri rođenju i druge posmatrane morfološke i histološke osobine mišića. Slično tome, ni kod tovljenika nije utvrđen uticaj veličine legla kao faktora na klaničnu masu, morfološke karakteristike ispitivanog mišića ili na zastupljenost pojedinih tipova mišićnih vlakana u mišiću.

Luk aorte kod pacova (Rattus norvegicus)

AB  - Пацов припада царству Animalia, типу Chordata, класи Mammalia, реду Rodentia, породици Muridae, роду Rattus. У исхрани није пробирљив, а у случају недостатка хране изражен је канибализам. Циљ рада је да се обради део кардиоваскуларног система. Испитивања су вршена на 6 пацова, оба пола, телесне масе 300-400 грама. После искрварења животиња, у грудну аорту (Aorta thoracica) убризган је желатин обојен сликарском темпером. После ињицирања, крвни судови су препарисани и фотографисани.
	Aorta ascendens напушта леву комору и још унутар Pericardium-a од ње се одвајају две коронарне артерије, које се пружају у вентролатералном правцу према срцу. Аорта пробија Pericardium на бази срца и у висини 4. леђног пршљена формира лук, који се пружа лево и дорзалнопрема леђним пршљеновима. Аорта се даље пружа каудално као Aorta descendens. Из лука аорте излази Truncus brachiocephalicus, A. carotis communis sinistra и A. subclavia sinistra. Truncus brachiocephalicus је непаран крвни суд који излази из лука аорте, oko 10 мм од њеног почетка. После 4 мм грана се на A. carotis communis dextra и A. subclavia dextra. 
На основу нашег испитивања из лука аорте код пацова излази Truncus brachiocephalicus, A. carotis communis sinistra и A. subclavia sinistra. Код малог зеленог мајмуна, текунице, кунића, свиње и пса из лука аорте излази Truncus brachiocephalicus и A. subclavia sinistra.
AB  - The rats belong to the kingdom Animalia , Chordata type, class Mammalia, order Rodentia, family Muridae, genus Rattus. The diet is not very picky, and in case of lack of food is expressed cannibalism. The aim of this study was to examine a part of the cardiovascular system. The investigations were perfomed on six rats of both sexes, body wight 300-400 g. After bleeding, the thoracic aorta (aorta thoracica) was injected with gelatin stained with painting tempera. After injection, the blood vessels were prepared and photographed .
	The aorta (aorta ascendens) leaves the left ventricle and initially takes a cranial course. Still within pericardium it gives off two coronary arteries, which run in a ventrolateral direction towards the heart. The aorta penetrates pericardium on base of the heart, at the level of fourth thoracic vertebra and form the aortic arch which runs left and dorsally toward the thoracic vertebra. The aorta continues caudally as the descending aorta. 
From the aortic arch, arise the brachiocephalic trunk (truncus brachiocephalicus), left  carotis communis artery (a. carotis communis sinistra) and left subclavian artery (a. subclavia sinistra). Unpair truncus brachiocephalicus arises from the aortic arch, about 10 mm from the origin of the aorta. After four mm it branches into the right carotis communis artery (a. carotis communis dextra) and right subclavian artery (a. subclavia dextra).  
According to the results of this study we can conclude that in the rat from the aortic arch arise three vessels: truncus brachiocephalicus, a. carotis communis sinistra and a. subclavia sinistra. From the aortic arch of the small green monkey, ground squirrel, rabbit, pig and dog arise two vessels: truncus brachiocephalicus and a. subclavia sinistra.

Comparison of m. semitendinosus morphometry and structure in gilts and barrows at market age

AB  - The aim of this paper was to investigate the differences in morphometric characteristics and histological structure of m. semitendinosus, between gilts and barrows of German Landrace breed at the end of the fattening period. Morphometric characteristics (weight, length, diameter and cross sectional area) of m. semitendinosus were not significantly different, while gender as a factor influenced the histological properties of this muscle. A very high statistical difference (p lt 0.01) in the total number of muscle fibers in m. semitendinosus was determined, with gilts having a higher total fiber number. The cross sectional area of fast twitch oxidative (FTO) fibers was significantly higher (p lt 0.05) in barrows. Gender did not affect the distribution of different fiber types: in both gender, the most present fiber types (48-52 %) were fast twitch glycolitic (FTG), FTO fibers represented 27-30 % of the total fiber number, while slow twitch oxidative fibers (STO) were the least represented (≈ 20 %).
AB  - Cilj ovog rada je bio da se ispita postojanje razlika u morfometrijskim osobinama i strukturi m.semitendinosus, između ženki i kastriranih mužjaka svinja Nemačkog landrasa, na kraju tova. Morfometrijske osobine (masa, dužina, obim i površina poprečnog preseka) m. semitendinosus, nisu bile statistički značajno različite između polova. Histološka analiza strukture mišića je pokazala da postoje neke razlike između polova. Ukupan broj mišićnih vlakana u m. semitendinosus bio je veoma značajno (p lt 0.01) veći kod ženki nego kod kastriranih mužjaka. Površina poprečnog preseka FTO vlakana bila statistički značajno veća (p lt 0.05) kod kastriranih mužjaka nego kod ženki. Procentualni udeo (zastupljenoost) tipova mišićnih vlakana u m.semitendinosus, se nije značajno razlikovao između polova. Kod oba pola najveći udeo (oko polovinu od svih tipova vlakana) su imala bela brzo kontrahujuća glikolitička (FTG) vlakana (48-52 %). Od crvenih, oksidativnih vlakana najmanji udeo (20.23-20.68 %) su imala sporo kontrahujuća (STO) vlakna dok su brzo kontrahujuća (FTO) vlakna bila zastupljena u većem procentu (27-30 %).

AB  - Текуница је глодар и типични је становник степских предела. У Војводини живи на пашњацима, насипима и осталим необрађеним земљиштима.
Циљ овога рада је био да испитамо топографију и гране Тruncus pudendoepigastricus-а и дамо нова сазнања као допринос у даљем развоју компаративне анатомије.
Испитивања су извршена на 6 текуница. После искрвављења животиња у спољашњу бедрену артерију (A. iliaca externa) убризгана је контрастна маса, желатин-туш. Ињицирани крвни судови задњег екстермитета просветљавани су методом по Spalteholz-у за визуализацију крвних судова у екстремитетима експерименталних животиња. Анализа препарата вршена је под стерео микроскопом. 
Тruncus pudendoepigastricus je кратак крвни суд, у просеку дуг око 1 мм. Он излази из A. iliaca externa. Његове гране су : A. pudenda externa, A. epigastrica caudalis и A. urethrogenitalis.
На основу нашег испитивања дошли смо до закључка да A. epigastrica caudalis и A. urethrogenitalis често могу да се одвоје непосредно од A. iliaca externa-е.
AB  - Ground squirrel is a rodent and a typical inhabitant of steppe landscapes. In Vojvodina it lives in the grasslands, embankments and other fallow. 
The aim of this study was to investigate the topography and branches  of the truncus pudendoepigastricus and give new knowledge as a contribution to the further development of comparative anatomy.
The investigation  was perfomed on six ground squirrel. After bleeding, in the external iliac artery (а. iliaca externa) was injected with contrast mass, gelatin-ink. Injected blood vessels of the pelvic limb were transparented with Spalteholze method for visualizing blood vessels in the limbs of experimental animals. Analysis of the preparation was perfomed by stereo microscope.
The truncus pudendoepigastricus is short, averaging about 1 mm in length. It arises from the a. iliaca externa. Its branches are: the a. pudenda externa, the a. epigastrica caudalis and the a. urethrogenitalis.
According to the results of this study we can conclude that rarely the a. epigastrica caudalis and the a. urethrogenitalis arise separately from the a. iliaca externa.

AB  - Мали зелени мајмун у великим групама настањује Афричке саване. Сматрају се најлепшим мајмунима Старог света. Циљ рада је да се опише део кардиоваскуларног система. Испитивања су вршена на 6 малих зелених мајмуна, оба пола, старости 3-4 године, телесне масе 2000-3000 грама, добијених из Института за вирусoлогију, вакцине и серуме у Београду.
	Спољашњи излед срца проучавао се на препаратима, на којима је у грудну дупљу убризган 4% формалин. На спољашњој површини срца код малог зеленог мајмуна јасно је изражен кружни жлеб (Sulcus coronarius). Леви уздужни жлеб (Sulcus interventricularis paraconalis) лежи између кранијалне и средње трећине леве стране срца. Не допире до врха срца, већ прелази преко кранијалног руба срца и пружа се према десној страни срца. Десни уздужни жлеб (Sulcus interventricularis subsinuosus) лежи између средње и каудалне трећине десне стране срца. Кранијални руб срца (Margo ventricularis dexter) је конвексан, а каудални руб срца (Margo ventricularis sinister) је раван, окренут каудално и нешто лево. Код малог зеленог мајмуна и домаћих животиња сисара десни уздужни жлеб (Sulcus interventricularis subsinuosus) је прав и допире до врха срца, а леви (Sulcus interventricularis paraconalis) је кос и пружа се између кранијалне и средње трећине леве стране срца. Код човека од коронарног жлеба пружа се ка срчаном врху предњи (Sulcus interventricularis anterior) и задњи уздужни жлеб (Sulcus interventricularis posterior), који се спајају удесно од срчаног врха градећи усек (Incisura apicis cordis).
AB  - Small green monkey in large groups inhabit the African savannah. They are the most beautiful Old World monkeys. The aim of this paper is to describe the part of the cardiovascular system. The studies were performed on six small green monkeys of both sexes, aged 3-4 years, body weight 2000-3000 g, obtained from the Institute or Virology, Vaccines and Serums in Belgrade.
	The surface of the hearts studied in the preparations, where the thoracic cavity injected with 4 % formalin. On the surface of the heart in small green monkey is clearly expressed the coronary groove (Sulcus coronarius). Left interventricular groove (Sulcus interventricularis paraconalis) lies between the cranial and middle third of the left side of the heart, not reaching the apex of the heart. It runs over the heart and the cranial border extending toward the right side of the heart. Right interventricular groove (Sulcus interventricularis subsinuosus) lies between the middle and caudal third of the right side of the heart. Cranial ventricular border of the heart (Margo ventricularis dexter) is convex and the caudal border of the heart (Margo ventricularis sinister) is straight, turned caudally and slightly to the left. In a small green monkeys and domestic animals mammal right interventricular groove (Sulcus interventricularis subsinuosus) is straight and reaching out to the apex of the heart. Left interventricular groove (Sulcus interventricularis paraconalis) is oblique and extends between the cranial and middle third of the left side of the heart. In humans the front interventricular groove (Sulcus interventricularis anterior) and posterior one (Sulcus interventricularis posterior) extend from the coronary groove toward the apex of the heart. Both grooves are connected to the right of the apex building cardiac notch (Incisura apicis cordis).

AB  - Tekunica je prezimar, čija hibernacija traje u zavisnosti od uzrasta i pola, od kraja leta do proleća. Kada nastanu hladni dani tekunica se zavlači u svoje jazbine i hladi se, tako da telesna temperatura, koja u normalnim uslovima iznosi 37°C, padne na 10°, 7° ili 3°C, što zavisi od spoljašnje sredine. Pored toga, kod tekunice se smanjuje i broj srčanih otkucaja na 1-2, a disanje na 3-4 puta u minuti.Sve ovo pokazuje da u organizmu ove životinje, kao i kod ostalih prezimara, nastupa veliko snižavanje intenziteta svih životnih funkcija, što je dokazano mnogobrojnim fiziološkim, biohemijskim i histološkim ispitivanjima pojedinih organskih sistema kod tekunice. Za ispitivanje je upotrebljeno 6 tekunica, oba pola, telesne mase 200-300 grama. Posle iskrvavljenja, u trbušnu aortu su ubrizgane različite kontrastne mase, želatin obojen slikarskom temperom ili minijumom. Posle injiciranja, krvni sudovi su preparisani i forografisani.
	A. mesenterica cranialis predstavlja neparan i prilično jak krvni sud koji izbija iz ventralnog zida trbušne aorte, 4-5 mm kaudalnije od A. celiaca. Vaskulariše tanka creva i veći deo kolona. Njene grane su : A. pancreaticoduodenalis caudalis, Aa. jejunales, A. colica dextra i A. colica media. Kada se od A. mesenterica cranialis odvoji poslednja jejunalna grana, njen završni deo predstavlja A. ileocecocolica.
	Za razliku od tekunice, pored nevedenih krvnih sudova, kod slepog kučeta grane od A. mesenterica cranialis su i A. pancreaticoduodenalis media, A. cecalis, A. cecocolica i A. ileocolica. Kod zamorca A. celiaca i A. mesenterica cranialis se spajaju i obrazuju zajedničko stablo Truncus celiacomesentericus.
AB  - The ground squirrel is hibernators, whose hibernation lasts depending on the age and
sex, from late summer to spring. During the cold days the ground squirrel enters its lair and cooled, so that the body temperature, which in normal conditions is 37 ° C, falling to 10 ° , 7 ° or 3 ° C, depending on the external environment. In addition, the heart rate slows to a 1-2 beats per minute, and  breathing to 3-4 times per minute.
All this shows that in the ground squirrel, as well as in other hibernators, reduces the intensity of all vital functions, as evidenced numerous by many physiological, biochemical and histological studies of some organic system in these animals. The investigation  wasperfomed on six ground squirrel, of both sexes, body weight 200-300 g. After bleeding, the abdominal aorta were injected with various contrasting masses, gelatin colored painting with watercolors or red lead. After the injection, the blood vessels were prepared and photographed.
	The cranial mesenteric artery (A. mesentericacranialis) represent unpaired and quite large blood vessel which  arises from the ventral wall of the abdominal aorta, about 4-5 mm caudally to the origin of the the celiac artery. It supplies  small intestine and most part of the colon. Its branches are: A. pancreaticoduodenaliscaudalis, Aa. jejunales, A. colicadextra  and A. colica media. After giving off the last jejunal artery, the cranial mesenteric artery terminate as A. ileocecocolica.
	For difference of the ground squirrel, in the mole rat branches of the cranial mesenteric artery are  yet A. pancreaticoduodenalis media, A. cecalis, A. cecocolica and A. ileocolica. In the guinea pig the cranial mesenteric artery form a common trunk with the celiac artery – Truncusceliacomesentericuswhich  arises from the abdominal aorta.

Vascularization of the kidney of the ground squirrel (Citellus citellus) in comparison with other experimental animals

AB  - Ground squirrel is the only representative of its genus in our country. As experimental animal is used in microbiology, parasitology, immunology and pharmacology. The aim of this study was to examine a part of ground squirrel cardiovascular system and thus help better understanding of anatomy of the body of this specific animal as well as to contribute to comparative anatomy. The studies were perfomed on six ground squirrels, both sexes, weight between 200- 300 g. In order to obtain the arterial vascularization of the kidney, contrast mass gelatin stained with painting tempera was injected into the abdominal aorta after bleeding out. After the injection, blood vessels were prepared and photographed. Corosive preparations of the vein blood vessels of the kidneys were obtained by injection of Byocril into the right azygos vein after bleeding out. After injection, the preparations were placed into 5% NaOH for 96 hours or 10% NaOH for 48 hours. After that the preparations were rinsed with hot water and photographed. A. renalis dextra arises from the lateral wall of the abdominal aorta, 3-4 mm caudal to A. mesenterica cranialis. In most cases, this vessel divides into two or three branches before entering the hilus of the right kidney. A. renalis sinistra arises from the lateral wall of the abdominal aorta, 7-9 mm caudal to the right renal artery. Often, instead of one left renal artery, there are two, rarely three. Based on the results of our study, we concluded that in ground squirrel there is one A. renalis dextra and often two, rarely three Aa. renales sinistrae. In renal venous vascularization, both right and left renal vein are involved. Before entering the kidney, both of them divide into cranial and caudal branch, undergoing renal hilus, enter the renal sinus and continues to branch out into smaller branches.
AB  - U oblasti eksperimentalne, humane i veterinarske medicine sve se više pridaje značaj eksperimentalnim životinjama. Na njima se mogu pratiti funkcije određenih sistema i njihove farmakodinamske manifestacije, koje nastaju zavisno od vrste, načina unošenja i metaboličkih puteva pojedinih supstanci ili bioloških agenasa u organizam ove životinje. Sa stepenom razvoja nauke, poznavanje građe tela tekunice (Citellus citellus) u cilju eksperimentalnih ispitivanja podrazumeva poznavanje makroskopske i mikroskopske građe kao i odnosa pojedinih organa i organskih sistema životinje za određene vidove istraživačke delatnosti. Za pomenuta istraživanja, pored ostalog, značajno je i poznavanje vaskularizacije bubrega. To je bio jedan od glavnih razloga da obradimo deo kardiovaskularnog sistema kod tekunice i boljim poznavanjem njene građe damo doprinos komparativnoj anatomiji.

AB  - Текуница је једини представник свога рода код нас. Као експериментална животиња користи се у микробиологији, паразитологији, фармакологији и имунологији. Циљ рада је био да обрадимо део кардиоваскуларног система код текунице и на тај начин допринесемо бољем познавању грађе тела ове животиње и дамо допринос компаративној анатомији.
За испитивање је употребљено 6 текуница, оба пола, телесне масе 200-300 грама. После искрвављења животиња у грудну аорту (Aorta thoracica) убризгане су различите контрастне масе, желатин обојен сликарском темпером или минијумом. После ињицирања, крвни судови су препарисани и фотографисани.
А. brachialis, наставак од А. axillaris, својим гранама и огранцима снадбева крвљу одговарајући предњи екстремитет поменуте животиње. Пре него што постане А. mediana, A. brachialis даје следеће огранке : 1.Rami musculares, 2.A. bicipitalis, 3.A. collateralis ulnaris, 4.A. nutritia humeri, 5.A. collateralis radialis proximalis и 6.A. collateralis radialis distalis.
На основу резултата наших испитивања дошли смо до закључка да А. radialis superficialis представља продужетак од А. profunda brachii, док код лабораторијских животиња, пацова и мишeва она је грана од А. brachialis.

After bleeding the animals,various contrasting masses, gelatin stained with painting tempera or minium were injected into the thoracic aorta (Aorta thoracica). After the injection, blood vessels were prepared and photographed.
	The a. brachialis, the continuation of the a. axillaris, supplies the corresponding anterior extremity, in above mentioned animal with all its larger and smaller branches. Before it becomes the a. mediana, the a. brachialis gives the following branches :1. the rami musculares, 2. the a. bicipitalis, 3. the a. collateralis ulnaris, 4. the a. nutritia humeri, 5. the a. collateralis radialis proximalis and 6. the a. collateralis radialis distalis.
According to the results of this study we can conclude that the a. radialis superficialis in the ground squirrel is a continuation of thea. profunda brachii, while in laboratory animals, rats and mice  it is a branch of the a. brachialis.

A. renalis sinistra одваја се од латералног зида трбушне аорте, 7-9 mm каудално од десне бубрежне артерије. Често се уместо једне леве бубрежне артерије појављују две, а ретко три.
На основу нашег испитивања закључили смо да код текунице постоји једна А. renalis dextra и често две, ретко три Aa. renales sinistrae.

AB  - The aim of the present study was to investigate the distribution of uranium (uranyl nitrate hexahydrate, UN) in muscle and organs (kidney, liver, and brain) of broilers, after a 7-day contamination with UN and administration of two different adsorbents (organobentonite and organozeolite). The birds were contaminated during 7 days with 25 mg/UN per day. Adsorbents were given via gastric tube, immediately after contamination with UN. In group 1 that did not receive any adsorbents, histopathological changes in the contaminated broilers were observed in small intestine, liver, and kidney in the form of necrosis of intestinal villi, oedema and cytoplasmic vacuolation of hepatocytes, and dystrophic changes in the kidney tubules epithelium. Organobentonite administered via gastric tube (group 2) reduced uranium distribution by 66 % in kidney, 81 % in liver, and 34 % in brain. In group 3, administration of organozeolite reduced uranium distribution by 67 % in kidney, 68 % in liver, and 49 % in brain. In groups 2 and 3, where the broilers received adsorbents immediately after the UN contamination, no histopathological lesions were observed.

In group 1 that did not receive any adsorbents, histopathological changes in the contaminated broilers were observed in small intestine, liver, and kidney in the form of necrosis of intestinal villi, oedema and cytoplasmic vacuolation of hepatocytes, and dystrophic changes in the kidney tubules epithelium. Organobentonite administered via gastric tube (group 2) reduced uranium distribution by 66 % in kidney, 81 % in liver, and 34 % in brain. In group 3, administration of organozeolite reduced uranium distribution by 67 % in kidney, 68 % in liver, and 49 % in brain. In groups 2 and 3, where the broilers received adsorbents immediately after the UN contamination, no histopathological lesions were observed.",

AB  - Herbal teas are an important part of traditional medicine in Serbia. The objective of the present study was to determine the activity concentrations of K-40 and Cs-137 in herbal tea, using the gamma spectroscopy method. The samples were collected during the period 2011-2012 in three mountain regions in Western and Central Serbia. The activity concentrations of K-40 and Cs-137 were found to be in the range of 130-1160 and 0.7-124 Bq kg(-1), respectively. The average annual effective dose equivalents from ingestion of K-40 and Cs-137 for an adult person consuming one cup of herbal tea daily were found to be 588.4-5250.2 nSv for K-40 and 4.0-706.1 nSv for Cs-137. Our investigation showed that the herbal teas originating from Maljen, Zlatibor and Tara mountains are radiologically safe for human consumption.

AB  - Слепо куче (Spalax leucodon) припада реду глодара. Нежна танка кожа прекривена је длаком, сивкасте или смеђесиве боје. Глава је напред затупљена, лоптастог облика, а на предњој и бочним ивицама налазе се чврсте и јаке чекиње, које представљају део чула за додир. Животиња је слепа. Усни отвор је мали, оивичен задебљалом кожом, а из њега вире два краћа горња и два веома развијена доња секутића. Врат са јако добро развијеном мускулатуром наставља се без сужавања у грудни кош, чији је скелет нежне грађе, а мускулатура слаба. Трбушни зид је танак, мек и прекривен нежном длаком.
	
У овом раду циљ нам је био да обрадимо део кардиоваскуларног система код слепог кучета и дамо допринос компаративној анатомији. The aim of the paper was to investigate 
Испитивања су вршена на 5 слепих кучића, оба пола, телесне масе од 180-240 грама. Најуспешније приказивање венске васкуларизације  добили смо ињицирањем контрастне масе желатин обојен минијумом у V. azygos dextra. Код овог начина ињицирања контрастна маса је испунила цео венски систем животиње.
V. jugularis externa на десној страни као једна од највећих грана кранијалне шупље вене (V. cava cranialis)се дели неколико милиметара каудално од кључне кости (Clavicula), слично као и она на левој страни, на дорзалну грану (Ramus supraclavicularis) која прелази преко кључне кости и вентралну грану (Ramus infraclavicularis) која се пружа вентрално од ње. Ове две гране леже између  М. cleidobrachialis-a и  M. cleidomastoideus-a своје стране и спајају се у висини половине врата, кранијално од кључне кости у заједничко стабло V. maxillaris. У Ramus supraclavicularis се улива V. cephalica, а у Ramus infraclavicularis V. liguofacialis која ородорзално прелази у V. facialis. У V. facialis се уливају вене које доводе крв из горње усне, доње усне, усног угла, дорзалног дела носа, коже у пределу медијалног очног угла и очних капака
Код текунице, као и код слепог кучета V. jugularis externa се дели на Ramus supraclavicularis и Ramus infraclavicularis. У Ramus supraclavicularis се улива такође V. cephalica, а у Ramus infraclavicularis V. liguofacialis, која се наставља у V. facialis. У V. facialis код текунице за разлику од слепог кучета уливају се и вене које одводе крв из дорзалног и вентралног дела букалних кеса.
AB  - Mole rat ( Spalaxleucodon ) belongs to the order of rodents. The soft thin skin covered with hair, greyish or brownish color. The head is forward blunt, spherical shape, and the front and side edges are firm and strong bristles, which are part of the sense of touch . The animal is blind. Lip opening is small, surrounded by thickened skin , and protruding from it two short upper and two lower incisors very developed. The neck  with a very well developed muscles continue without constriction in the chest , which is the skeleton of soft materials , and weak muscles. The abdominal wall is thin, soft and gentle hair covered .
The aim of the paper was to investigate a  part of the cardiovascular system in mole rat  and contribute to comparative anatomy.
The investigations were performed on 5 mole rats, of both sexes, weight between 180 and 240 grams. The venous vascularization was most successfully used by injection of the contrast mass into the right azygos vein. In this way of contrast injection mass filled the entire venous system of the animal.
	The external jugular vein on the right side as one of the largest branches of the cranial vena cava (v. cava cranialis ) to share a few millimeters caudal to the clavicle (Clavicula), similar to those on the left side of the dorsal branch (Ramus supraclavicularis) exceeding over the clavicle and ventral branch (Ramus infraclavicularis) extending ventrally from it . These lie between the two branches of M. cleidobrachialis and M. cleidomastoideus's their side and are connected to the amount of half of the door, the key of the cranial bones in a joint tree V. maxillaris. The Ramus supraclavicularis flows V. cephalic, in Ramus infraclavicularis V. liguofacialis that orodorsally  becomes the facial vein. The facial vein receive veins which drain blood  from the upper lip, low lip, angular of the mouth, dorsal surface of the nose, skin  in the area of the medial angular of the eye and eye-lids.
	In the ground squirrel, as well as the mole rat V. jugularisexterna is divided into supraclavicularis and Ramus Ramusinfraclavicularis. The Ramus supraclavicularis flows also V. cephalic, in Ramus infraclavicularis V. liguofacialis, which continues to V. facialis. In V. facialis in the ground squirrel as opposed to mole rats  inspire and veins that carry blood from the dorsal and ventral part of the buccal pouch.

AB  - Current intensive pig meat production conditions impose the need to expand the knowledge about skeletal muscle characteristics, with the aim to improve both production of pig lean meat and meat quality. Histological and biochemical characteristics of the muscle highly influence the quality of meat, with muscle fiber number, size and fiber type distribution being important constituents. The objective of this study was to examine the structure of m. semitendinosus of piglets at birth, and slaughter pigs at the end of fattening. Total muscle fiber number was 350 x 103 in newborn piglets and increased up to nearly 900 x 103 in slaughter pigs. At birth, the muscle consisted of 3.76% primary fibers and 96.24% secondary fibers. At slaughter, slow-twitch oxidative fibers represented 21% of the total muscle fiber number, fast-twitch oxidative fibers represented 28 % while the majority of fibers (52%) in m. semitendinosus were of fast twitch glycolitic type. Obtained results indicate that postnatal muscle growth is accomplished mainly by muscle fiber hypertrophy.
AB  - Savremena intenzivna proizvodnja svinjskog mesa nameće potrebu stalnog proširivanja znanja o karakteristikama skeletnih mišića, sa ciljem kako povećanja obima proizvodnje mesa, tako i poboljšanja kvaliteta mesa. Histološke i biohemijske osobine mišića u visokoj meri utiču na kvalitet mesa, pri čemu su od najvećeg značaja: broj i prečnik mišićnih vlakana, i distribucija pojedinih tipova mišićnih vlakana u okviru mišića. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je da se ispita struktura m. semitendinosus-a prasadi na rođenju, I tovljenika po završetku tova. Kod novorođene prasadi utvrđeno je ukupno 350 x 103 mišićnih vlakana u posmatranom mišiću, a taj se broj kod tovljenika uvećao na 900 x 103. Na rođenju, mišić se sastojao od 3,76 % primarnih vlakana i 96,24 % sekundarnih vlakana. Po završetku tova u m. semitendinosus-u su sporo okidajuća oksidativna vlakna činila 21 % ukupnog broja vlakana, brzo okidajuća oksidativna 28 %, a najveći deo vlakana (52 %) su bila tipa brzo okidajućih glikolitičkih vlakana. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju da se postnatalni porast mišića svinja odvija uglavnom po osnovu hipertrofije mišićnih vlakana.

AB  - A. cerebri je produžetak stabla unutrašnje karotidne arterije. Prednja moždana arterija (A. cerebri rostralis) spaja se sa odgovarajućom granom druge strane ispred raskršća vidnih nerava (Chiasma opticum). Iz ovog spoja nastaje A. cerebri rostralis communis, koja ulazi u Fissura longitudinalis cerebri i savija oko Genu corporis callosi, pružajući se do kaudalnog kraja žuljevitog tela. Od A. cerebri rostralis odvajaju se površne ili kortikalne grane koje se granaju u kori mozga i duboke ili centralne grane koje ulaze u moždanu masu.
	A. cerebri caudalis, A. comminicans caudalis i A. cerebri rostralis obrazuju oko hipofize i raskršća vidnih nerava arterijski krug (Circulus arteriosus – Willisi).
	A. cerebri rostralis u malog zelenog majmuna, slično kao kod čoveka i domaćih životinja sisara je produžetak stabla A. carotis interna-e.

The rostral cerebral artery (A. cerebri rostralis) unites with the appropriate branch other side in front of the optic chiasm. From this union arises A. rostralis communis wich enters the cerebral longitudinalis fissura, bends around Genu corporis callosi and runs to the caudal end of the corpus callosum. A. cerebri rostralis gives off the superficial or cortical branches wich supply the cortex of the brain and deep or central branches which enter the brain mass.

AB  - Radionucleides, which are commonly released into the atmosphere after accidents on nuclear plants, by atmospheric precipitation fall onto the earth, are deposited in the soil, an consequently contaminate the environment, getting into the food chain. Considering that milk represents a kind of food that is consumed by all people, especially children, with the aim to protect the population after Cernobil accident, from then to today, constant long-term monitoring of antropogenic radionucleide (137Cs) presence in milk samples has been carried out, at almost complete territory of Serbia. Beside that, immediately after the nuclear accidents in Fukushima power plants, during march and april 2011. laboratory for radiation hygiene at the Faculty of veterinary medicine in Belgrade, carried out a special monitoring of radioactivity (40K , 131I 137Cs) in dairy cow, sheep and goat milk, at 30 localities in Serbia. The obtained results showed that the activity of 137Cs, as a consequence of Chernobyl accident, in milk at the territory of Serbia was below limit detection. Despite a large distance between Japan and Serbia, traces of 131I and 137Cs were detected in sheep and goat milk samples in april 2011., but considering their low activity, they do not represent a radiation risk for population in Serbia.
AB  - Radionuklidi koji se oslobađaju u atmosferu posle nesreća na nuklearnim postrojenjima putem padavina se talože na zemljinu površinu, dospevaju u životnu sredinu i ugrađuju se u lanac ishrane ljudi. Mleko je namirnica koja je zastupljena u ishrani svih kategorija stanovništva, a posebno dece. U cilju očuvanja bezbednosti stanovništva, posle černobiljske katastrofe do danas, vršeno je višegodišnje praćenje prisustva radionuklida, antropogenog porekla (137Cs) u uzorcima mleka, na skoro celokupnoj teritoriji Srbije. Pored toga, neposredno posle katastrofe na nuklearnim reaktorima u Fukušimi tokom marta i aprila 2011. godine, Laboratorija za radijacionu higijenu Fakulteta veterinarske medicine u Beogradu, sprovela je vanredni program praćenja radioaktivnosti (40K, 131I, 137Cs) mleka krava, ovaca i koza na 13 lokaliteta na teritoriji republike Srbije. Dobijeni rezultati su pokazali da se aktivnost 137Cs poreklom iz černobiljske katastrofe u mleku, na teritoriji Srbije, danas nalazi na granici detekcije. Uprkos velikoj razdaljini Japana i Srbije tragovi 131I i 137Cs detektovani su u uzorcima ovčijeg i kozijeg mleka u aprilu 2011. god, ali s obzirom na njihovu nisku aktivnost ne predstavljaju radijacioni rizik za stanovništvo Srbije.

Natural radionuclides in mineral fertilizers and farmland

AB  - Contemporary agriculture production is based on use of mineral fertilizers, which however can have high activity of natural radionuclides and so cause the appearance of technologically elevated radioactivity. In order to determine the influence of mineral fertilizers application in arable land, there was used gamma spectrometric method for defining the activity of natural radionuclides (40 K, 238U, 226Ra) in imported mineral fertilizers as well as in arable and fallow land in the area of suburban municipalities of Belgrade. The obtained results have shown that in the tested mineral fertilizers the measured activity of 40K ranged from 70 to 4590 Bq/kg, 238U from 18 to 1400 Bq/kg and 226Ra from 15 to 999Bq/kg. Average activities of natural radionuclides in arable land are: 626 Bq/kg for 40K, 54 Bq/kg for 238U, 55 Bq/kg for 226Ra and 55Bq/kg for 232Th, and in fallow land 596 Bq/kg for 40K, 54 Bq/kg for 238U, 54 Bq/kg for 226Ra and 53 Bq/kg for 232Th. Average values of radium radioactivity equivalent (175 Bq/kg) and index of radiation risk (0,48), point out that in the tested areas there is no significant radiation risk for inhabitants due to terrestrial exposure. This investigation has also shown that current use of mineral fertilizers has not caused the increase of natural radioactivity in the tested arable land.
AB  - Savremena poljoprivredna proizvodnja se bazira na upotrebi mineralnih đubriva, koja mogu imati visoke aktivnosti prirodnih radionuklida i usloviti pojavu tehnološki povišene radioaktivnosti. U cilju određivanja uticaja primene mineralnih đubriva na koncentraciju radionuklida u obradivom zemljištu, gamaspektrometrijskom metodom određivana je aktivnost prirodnih radionuklida (40K, 238U, 226Ra) u mineralnim đubrivima iz uvoza, obradivom i neobradivom zemljištu sa područja prigradskih opština grada Beograda. Dobijeni rezultati su pokazali da se u ispitivanim mineralnim đubrivima izmerena aktivnost 40K kretala od 70 do 4590 Bq/kg, 238U od 18 do 1400 Bq/kg i 226Ra od 15 do 999 Bq/kg. U obradivom zemljištu prosečne aktivnosti prirodnih radionuklida su 626 Bq/kg za 40K, 54 Bq/kg za 238U, 55 Bq/kg za 226Ra i 55 Bq/kg za 232Th, a u neobradivom zemljištu 596 Bq/kg za 40K, 54 Bq/kg za 238U, 54 Bq/kg za 226Ra i 53 Bq/kg za 232Th. Srednje vrednosti radijumskog ekvivalenta aktivnosti (175 Bq/kg) i indeksa radijacionog rizika (0,48) ukazuju na to da na ispitivanim lokacijama ne postoji značajni radijacioni rizik za stanovništvo usled terestrijalnog izlaganja. Ova istraživanja su pokazala i da dosadašnja upotreba mineralnih đubriva nije uzrokovala povišenje prirodne radioaktivnosti na ispitivanim oranicama.

AB  - The aim of the present study was to investigate distribution of Cs-137 in leg and breast meat of broilers and pheasants following single alimentary contamination and administration of two protectors (AFCF and clinoptilolite). The birds were administered a single dose of (CsCl)-Cs-137, with an activity of 750 Bq. Protectors were given via gastric tube or mixed in the forage pellets. AFCF given via gastric tube decreased the Cs-137 concentration by a factor of 7.8 in broilers leg meat and 7.4 in broilers breast meat. AB  - The main aim of this study was to investigate the impact of the coal mine in Lazarevac, and the coal-fired power stations in Obrenovac, on the activity concentrations of radionuclides 40K, 238U, 232Th, and 137Cs in some parts of human food chain of people living in the surrounding area. The obtained results showed that natural environment around the examined coal mine and the coal-fired power stations are not significantly affected by the emission of primordial radionuclides. The activity concentrations of 238U in the soil around the open coal mine and the coal processing installations (66.4-76.0 Bq/kg) and in the soil around the coal-fired power stations (55.5-61.2 Bq/kg) were not significantly higher than the average values in Serbia. The significant increase in the activity concentrations of natural radioisotopes in the samples of soil, vegetation, and animal products, was not confirmed. Food of animal origin used in human consumption is safe, i. e. not contaminated by radiation.
AB  - Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je da se ispita uticaj procesa vađenja i prerade uglja iz otvorenog rudnog kopa u Lazarevcu, kao i sagorevanja uglja tokom proizvodnje električne energije u termoelektranama u Obrenovcu, na prisustvo radionuklida 40K, 238U, 232Th kao i 137Cs u lancu ishrane ljudi koji žive u okolini ovih postrojenja. Nivo ispitivanih radionuklida meren je gamaspektrometrijski, u uzorcima zemljišta, stočne hrane (lucerka, kukuruz), mleka krava i koza, kravljeg sira, jaja i mesa goveda, ovaca, svinja i živine. Uzorci su uzimani od lokalnog stanovništva i to po tri uzorka na svakom lokalitetu. Na području Lazarevca, uzorkovanje je izvršeno na lokalitetima Šopići, Stepojevac i Vreoci, a na području Obrenovca na lokalitetima Konatica i Ušće. Dobijeni rezultati pokazali su da se nivo aktivnosti 238U u zemljištu, na području oko rudnika uglja (Lazarevac) kretao u rasponu 66,4-76,0 Bq/kg, a na području oko termoelektrana u Obrenovcu 55,5-61,2 Bq/kg. Ove, kao i vrednosti dobijene za ostale radionuklide, nisu bile značajno više od prosečnih vrednosti za Srbiju. U uzorcima stočne hrane i animalnih proizvoda, nivo aktivnosti, ispitivanih radionuklida bio je veoma nizak i često na granici detekcije. Na osnovu svega, može se zaključiti da rudnik uglja, postrojenja za preradu uglja kao i termoelektrane, nemaju značajnog uticaja na povećanja nivoa aktivnosti primordijalnih radionuklida u životnoj sredini Lazarevca i Obrenovca.

AB  - The phosphate industry is one of the biggest polluters of the environment with uranium. Different products are derived after processing phosphoric ore, such as mineral and phosphate fertilizers and phosphate mineral supplements (dicalcium-and monocalcium phosphate) for animal feeding. Phosphate mineral additives used in animal food may contain a high activity of uranium. Research in this study should provide an answer to the extent in which phosphate mineral products (phosphate fertilizer and phosphate mineral feed additives) contribute to the contamination of soil, plants and animals.
AB  - Fosfatna industrija predstavlja jedan od najvećih zagađivača životne sredine uranijumom. Preradom fosforne rude dobija se veliki broj različitih proizvoda, od kojih su posebno značajni fosfatna mineralna đubriva i fosfatni mineralni dodaci (di- i monokalcijum fosfat). Fosfatni mineralni dodaci koji se koriste u smešama za ishranu životinja mogu sadržati visoke aktivnosti uranijuma. Istraživanja u ovom radu treba da pruže odgovor u kojoj meri fosfatni mineralni proizvodi (fosfatna đubriva i fosfatni mineralni dodaci stočnoj hrani) doprinose kontaminaciji zemljišta, biljaka i životinja.

Natural sepiolite efficiency in reducing 137Cs transfer and deposition into meat and edible organs of broiler chickens

AB  - The objectives of the present study were to examine the level of radiocesium deposit in meat and edible organs of broiler chickens as well as to investigate efficiency of natural sepiolite in reducing 137Cs deposition in meat, liver and gizzard of alimentary contaminated broiler chickens. Broiler chickens (six weeks of age) were fed with the standard diet and each broiler was given a single oral dose of 137Cs, total activity of 3750 Bq. The broilers were divided into two groups (10 broilers per group). The group 1 was control (received only radiocesium). The broilers of the group 2, in addition to radiocesium received natural sepiolite solution (2 g sepiolite per bird). After 24 hours, all broilers, from each group, were stunned and killed. The samples of meat, (breast and legs), liver and gizzard were taken from each broiler, for gamma spectrometry determination of radiocesium activity. After 24 hours of contamination, 56 % of introduced 137Cs radioactivity was deposited in the meat (breast and legs muscles), 1 % in the liver and 2,4 % in the gizzard of broiler chickens 42 days of age. Natural sepiolite demonstrated insufficient protective action. Compared to the control group, percentage reduction (decreasing percentage) of 137Cs deposition in meat was 16%, in liver 5% and in gizzard 12%.
AB  - Cilj ovog rada je bio da se ispita stepen deponovanja radiocezijuma u mesu i jestivim organima brojlerskih pilića, kao i da se ispita efikasnost prirodnog sepiolita u smanjenju deponovanja 137Cs u mesu, jetri i bubcu, alimentarno kontaminiranih pilića. U radu su koriščeni brojlerski plići (Hubbard) uzrasta 42 dana, koji su dobili po jednu oralnu dozu 137Cs, ukupne aktivnosti 3750 Bq. Pilići su podeljeni u dve grupe (po 10 jedinki u grupi). Grupa 1 je bila kontrolna (dobijala je samo 137Cs). pilići grupe 2, pored radiocezijuma dobijali su, istovremeno, i rastvor sepiolita (2 g sepiolita po piletu). Posle 24 sata, izvršeno je žrtvovanje svih pilića. Uzorci celokupnog mesa (mišići grudi i nogu zajedno), jetre i bubca su uzimani od svakog pileta za gamaspektrometrijsko određivanje nivoa aktivnosti radiocezijuma. Ustanovljeno je da 24 sata posle kontaminacije, u odnosu na unetu aktivnost, u mesu se deponuje 56 % radiocezijuma, u jetri 1 % a u bubcu 2,4 %. AB  - Radiometric control of products involved in the food chain is an important part of ongoing quality control of products related to food and feed. Content of primordial and anthropogenic radionuclides in some products directly determines their quality and further methods of usage. The most common way of intake of radionuclides in the human body is ingestion (80 %) through contaminated food and water. The foods of animal origin are largely represented in the human diet. Therefore radiation control of animal feeds and animal products will contribute to producing food for human nutrition without or with low risk for health. This paper presents the results obtained by gamma spectrometric analysis of mineral additives and mixtures for pig nutrition, from imported and domestic production. In most samples examined, activity levels of natural and radionuclides made during production were in accordance with the regulations. A certain number of tested mineral supplement samples had increased levels of activity of 238U (640- 2100 Bq/kg), which was not in accordance with applicable regulations.
AB  - Radiometrijska kontrola proizvoda uključenih u lanac ishrane je važan segment stalne provere kvaliteta proizvoda vezanih za ishranu ljudi i životinja. Sadržaj primordijalnih i antropogenih radionuklida u nekim proizvodima direktno određuje njegov kvalitet i dalji način upotrebe. Najčešći put unošenja radionuklida u ljudski organizam je ingestija (80%), putem kontaminirane hrane i vode. Kako su namirnice životinjskog porekla zastupljene u velikoj količini u ishrani ljudi, kontrola hrane za životinje i proizvoda animalnog porekla omogućila bi ishranu ljudima bez rizika. U radu su prikazani rezultati dobijeni gamaspektrometrijskom analizom mineralnih dodataka, pred smeša i gotovih smeša za ishranu svinja iz uvoza i domaće proizvodnje. U većini ispitivanih uzoraka nivo aktivnosti prirodnih i proizvedenih radionuklida je bio u skladu sa propisima. Jedan broj ispitanih uzoraka mineralnih dodataka iz uvoza i domaće proizvodnje imao je povećan nivo aktivnost 238U (640 - 2100 Bq/kg), što nije u skladu sa važećim propisima.

Radioactivity in food in Belgrade city

AB  - The activity concentrations of 40K, 238U, 226Ra, 232Th and 137Cs were measured using the gamma spectrometric method in different food chain samples from the area of the City of Belgrade during the periods May-June 2007 and May-June 2008. Relatively high activities of 40K and 137Cs were detected in the soil. These results indicate that 137Cs is present in the area of Belgrade even 20 years after the nuclear accident in the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. However, in the samples of feedstuffs, animal products and bio indicators (meat of wild animals and fish), activity concentrations of primordial radionuclides and 137Cs were low and below the detection limits. The results of these trials have shown that investigated animal products from the natural environment around Belgrade are radioactivity safe.
AB  - Aktivnost 40K, 238U, 226Ra, 232Th i 137Cs merena je gamaspektrometrijskom metodom u različitim uzorcima hrane iz lanca ishrane u okolini Beograda tokom maja i juna 2007. i 2008. godine. Izmerene su relativno visoke aktivnosti 40K i 137Cs u zemljištu. Ovi rezultati ukazuju na to da se 137 Cs može naći u životnoj sredini Beograda čak i 20 godina nakon nuklearnog incidenta u Černobilju. Međutim, u uzorcima stočne hrane, animalnim proizvodima i bioindikatorima (mesu divljih životinja i riba), aktivnost primordijalnih radionuklida i antropogenog 137Cs je bila niska i ispod nivoa detekcije. Ispitivanja su pokazala da su animalni proizvodi proizvedeni u prigradskim opštinama grada Beograda, radiološki bezbedni za ishranu stanovništva Beograda.

Natural and anthropogenic radioactivity in the environment of mountain region of Serbia

AB  - The activity concentrations of K-40, U-238, Th-232 and Cs-137 have been measured using a gamma spectrometric method in different samples from the environment of two mountains in Serbia (altitude 1000-1100 m), during the period 2002-2007. The mountains Maljen and Tara (popular tourist destinations) are near Belgrade. On mountain Maljen, samples were taken at 4 different altitudes (200 m, 650 m, 1000 m and 1100 m), and on mountain Tara at altitudes of 1000 m and 1100 m. On mountain Maljen it was found that the level of Cs-137 activity increased with altitude in samples of soil, grass, hay and cow, sheep and goat milk. On the contrary, K-40 activity decreased with altitude in samples of soil, grass and hay. The highest activity concentrations of Cs-137 were found in bioindicators: sheep meat, venison, wild boar meat, moss and mushrooms. These results indicate that Cs-137 is present in mountain region of Serbia even 20 years after the nuclear accident in Chernobyl. Deposition of Cs-137 was almost two times higher on the Maljen mountain compared to Tara mountain. An average annual dose arising from Cs-137 was 7.4 mu Sv due to ingestion of cow milk and 6.3 mu Sv due to ingestion of mushrooms at Maljen mountain.

AFCF and clinoptilolite use in reduction of Cs-137 deposition in several days' contaminated broiler chicks

AB  - The objective of this study was to investigate the binding efficiency of AFCF and clinoptilolite, mixed to the feed and administered orally using gastric tube to chronically Cs-137 alimentary contaminated broiler chicks. Seventy-five male Hybro broiler chicks, between 35 and 47 days of age were divided into five groups (15 birds per group) reared in cages (five birds in a cage) and fed a standard diet. Every day during 13 days of the experimental period all chicks received orally 1 ml CsCl water solution with activity of 13 10 Bq ml(-1) Cs-137 (gastric tube). Group I was the control group and received no binders. The experimental groups received the binders. Group 2 received 0.2 g of AFCF in the form of water solution (gastric tube); group 3 received 0.2% AFCF in the feed; group 4 received 2 g clinoptilolite in the form of water suspension (gastric tube) and group 5 received 2% clinoptilolite in the feed. Five chicks from each group were sacrificed on days 4, 10 and 13 of the experimental period. Using gamma spectrometric methods specific activity of Cs-137 was determined in the samples of breast meat, liver and gizzard. The results obtained showed that administering binders to the chronically contaminated broiler chicks significantly (p < 0.01) reduced Cs-137 transfer and deposition in breast meat, liver and gizzard. Decreasing deposition of Cs-137 in breast meat and internal organs increased with time of contamination and binders administration. With AFCF as a cesium binder, on day 13 of measuring the Cs-137 activity in breast meat was 80-83% lower than that in the control group, 89% in liver and 83-84% in gizzard. Natural clinoptilolite activity in breast meat tilolite demonstrated lower binding efficiency. On day 13 of measuring the 137 was 53-69% lower than that in the control group, 67-60% in liver and 59-71% in gizzard.

Extrahepatic and intrahepatic veins of the portal system in the ground squirrel (Citellus citellus)

AB  - From studies of the extrahepatic veins and intrahepatic veins of the portal system in the ground squirrel, using anatomical methods and rentgenography the following can be concluded: The portal vein is formed by the confluence of three venous blood vessels which are present the extrahepatic part of the portal system in the ground squirrel: V. gastropancreaticoduodenalis, V. gastrolienalis and V. mesenterica cranialis. V. portae runs towards the portal fissure and divides, upon entering the liver, into a small right branch which is dispersed in the right lobes and a large left branch which ramifies in the remainder of the liver. V. gastropancreaticoduodenalis receives blood from the greater omentum of the stomach (V. gastroepiploica dextra), the cranial part of the duodenum and the right segment of the pancreas (V. pancreaticoduodenalis cranialis). Truncus gastrolienalis drains the parietal and visceral wall of the stomach (V. gastrica sinistra), the spleen and left portion of the greater omentum (V. lienalis). V. mesenterica cranialis collects blood from the middle part of the duodenum and adjacent part of the pancreas (V. pancreaticoduodenalis media), from the caudal part of the duodenum and the caudal segment of the pancreas (V. pancreaticoduodenalis caudalis), from the jejunum (Vv. jejunales) and from the ileum, cecum and colon (Truncus ileocecocolicus). The extrahepatic veins of the portal system in the ground squirrel are joined through a number of anastomoses. V. portae enters the portal fissure and divides into V. advehens lobi dextri lateralis et processus caudatus, V. advehens lobi dextri medialis, V. advehens processus papillaris, V. advehens lobi quadrati et lobi sinistri medialis and Vv. advehentes lobi sinistri lateralis which branch into a large number of smaller vessels in corresponding lobes of the liver. These veins form the intrahepatic part of the portal system in the ground squirrel.
AB  - Na osnovu proučavanja ekstrahepatičnih i intrahepatičnih vena portalnog krvotoka jetre u tekunice, koristeći anatomske metode i rentgenolografiju mogu se izvesti sledeći zaključci: Vena portae nastaje iz sliva tri venska krvna suda koja čine extrahepatični deo portalnog krvotoka u tekunice: V. gastropancreaticoduodenalis, V. gastrolienalis i V. mesenterica cranialis. V. portae se pruža prema portalnom žlebu i po ulasku u jetru deli se na manju, desnu granu koja se razgranava u desne režnjeve jetre i veću, levu granu koja se razgranava u ostale režnjeve jetre. V. gastropancreaticododenalis odvodi krv iz omentum majus-a (V. gastroepiploica dextra), početnog dela duodenuma i desnog režnja pankreasa (V. pancreaticoduodenalis cranialis) Truncus gastrolienalis odvodi krv iz parijetalnog i visceralnog zida želudca (V. gastrica sinistra) i slezine i levog dela omentum majus-a (V. lienalis). V. mesenterica cranialis odvodi krv iz srednjeg i završnog dela duodenuma i odgovarajućeg dela pankreasa (V. pancreaticoduodenalis media), iz kaudalnog dela duodenuma i kaudalnoig dela pankreasa (V. pancreaticoduodenalis caudalis) iz jejunuma (Vv. jejunales) i iz ileuma, cekuma i kolona (Truncus ileocecocolicus). Ekstrahepatične vene portalnog krvotoka jetre tekunice stoje u vezi preko mnogobrojnih anastomoza. V. portae ulazi u portalni žleb i iz nje izbijaju vene (V. advehens lobi dextri lateralis et processus caudatus, V. advehens lobi dextri medialis, V. advehens processus papillaris, V. advehens lobi quadrati et lobi sinistri medialis and Vv. advehentes lobi sisnistri lateralis) koje se razgranavaju u odgovarajućim režnjevima jetre tekunice i čine intrahepatični deo portalnog krvotoka tekunice.

abstract = "From studies of the extrahepatic veins and intrahepatic veins of the portal system in the ground squirrel, using anatomical methods and rentgenography the following can be concluded: The portal vein is formed by the confluence of three venous blood vessels which are present the extrahepatic part of the portal system in the ground squirrel: V. gastropancreaticoduodenalis, V. gastrolienalis and V. mesenterica cranialis. V. portae runs towards the portal fissure and divides, upon entering the liver, into a small right branch which is dispersed in the right lobes and a large left branch which ramifies in the remainder of the liver. V. gastropancreaticoduodenalis receives blood from the greater omentum of the stomach (V. gastroepiploica dextra), the cranial part of the duodenum and the right segment of the pancreas (V. pancreaticoduodenalis cranialis). Truncus gastrolienalis drains the parietal and visceral wall of the stomach (V. gastrica sinistra), the spleen and left portion of the greater omentum (V. lienalis). V. mesenterica cranialis collects blood from the middle part of the duodenum and adjacent part of the pancreas (V. pancreaticoduodenalis media), from the caudal part of the duodenum and the caudal segment of the pancreas (V. pancreaticoduodenalis caudalis), from the jejunum (Vv. jejunales) and from the ileum, cecum and colon (Truncus ileocecocolicus). The extrahepatic veins of the portal system in the ground squirrel are joined through a number of anastomoses. V. portae enters the portal fissure and divides into V. advehens lobi dextri lateralis et processus caudatus, V. advehens lobi dextri medialis, V. advehens processus papillaris, V. advehens lobi quadrati et lobi sinistri medialis and Vv. advehentes lobi sinistri lateralis which branch into a large number of smaller vessels in corresponding lobes of the liver. These veins form the intrahepatic part of the portal system in the ground squirrel., Na osnovu proučavanja ekstrahepatičnih i intrahepatičnih vena portalnog krvotoka jetre u tekunice, koristeći anatomske metode i rentgenolografiju mogu se izvesti sledeći zaključci: Vena portae nastaje iz sliva tri venska krvna suda koja čine extrahepatični deo portalnog krvotoka u tekunice: V. gastropancreaticoduodenalis, V. gastrolienalis i V. mesenterica cranialis. V. portae se pruža prema portalnom žlebu i po ulasku u jetru deli se na manju, desnu granu koja se razgranava u desne režnjeve jetre i veću, levu granu koja se razgranava u ostale režnjeve jetre.
