AB  - Bolesti jetre kod svinja su prisutne i ispoljavaju se u velikim aglomeracijama. Prema literaturnim
podacima kao uzroci oboljenja jetre se smatra jednolična i deficitarna ishrana, alimentarni i
bakterijski toksini , parazitke infekcije i neadekvatni zoohigijenski uslovi. Promene na jetri ne
ispoljavaju vidljive kliničke simptome. U postavljanju dijagnoze koristi se analiza biohemisjkih
parametarta. U ovom predavanju smo izložili rezultate biohemuisjske anlize nerastova koji se
koriste u repordukciji sa komercijalnih farmi. Koristili smo sledeće parametre: fosfor, ukupne
proteine, urea, kreatinin, AST. Statiststički značajne razlike su ustanovljene kod sledećih
parametara: fosfor, ukupni proteini, urea i AST. Cilj ovog predavanja je da ukaže na značajnost
biohemijskih paramtera jetre u zdravtvenoj zaštiti svinja.

AB  - Klasa Trematoda, u narodu poznatija kao metlji, obuhvata parazite čije telo nije
segmentisano na člančiće i poseduju organe za pričršćivanja u vidu jakih muskuloznih pijavki.
Kod svinja parazitira mali broj trematoda od kojih je većina u adultnom obliku a neke se nalaze
incistirane u larvarnom stadijumu najčešće u mišićima svinja. U Evropi je prisutan mali broj
trematoda ali su one zato u Aziji u velikom broju prisutne u patologiji svinja i ljudi. Ovde će mo
dati prikaz najznačajnih zoonotske trematoda svinja: Alaria alata, Fasciola hepatica, Dicrocelium
dendriticum, Fasciolopsis buski, Clonorchis sinensis i Opisthorchis felineus.

AB  - Parazitske infekcije predstavljaju stalne pratioce svinjarske proizvodnje, nezavisno od
načina držanja. Pri tome je prisustvo protozoalnih infekcija zabeleženo u svim starostnim
kategorijama s tim da je najveća prevalenca i morbiditet zabeležen u mlađim kategorijama
prasadi. Sa stanovišta svinjarske proizvodnje, najvećeg značaja imaju kokcidije iz rodova
Isospora, Eimeria i Cryptosporidium. Zavisno od starosti prasadi ove infekcije se kaskadno
nastavljaju jedna na drugu a kao glavni izvor infekcije su apostrofirane krmače. Infekcija prasadi
nastaje peroralno ingestijom oocisti koje se nalaze u izmetu svinja. U ovoj kategoriji životinja
mesta infekcije su zaprljani mamarni kompleks krmača, izmet u boksevima koje prasad čeprka i
konzumira (koprofagija je normalna pojava kod svinja), zaprljane šipke bokseva i sl. Pod
klasičnom kokcidiozom svinja se podrazumava infekcija sa protozoama iz roda Eimeria spp. U
Srbiji su zabeležene infekcije sa E. perminuta, E.debliecki i E. polita. U mlađim kategorijama
prasadi procenat inficiranih jedinki je iznosio: Eimeria polita 4-9%, Eimeria perminuta 27-31%
i Eimeria debliecki 3-24%. Kod tovljenika je procenat infekcija iznosio: Eimeria perminuta 27-
31%, E.polita 4-9%, E.debliecki 3-24% a kod priplodnih životinja E.perminuta 17-21%,
Eimeria debliecki (12-23%) i E.polita 14-19%.
Infekcije mogu nastati odmah po prašenju a obolenje se manifestuje između 7-11 dana
života. Javlja se proliv (retko sa primesama krvi) i gubitak apetita, životinje gube u težini, imaju
slabiji prirast a moguća su i uginuća. Patološke promene su prisutne u tankom i debelom crevu
ali su najmarkantnije u jejunumu. Zapaža se kataralno zapaljenje, sluzokoža je zadebljala sa
ređim tačkastim krvarenjima i deskvamacijom epitela. Zid creva je obložen mukofibrinoznim
eksudatom koji ponekad pokriva nekrotična polja. Starije svinje stiču imunitet i predstavljaju
glavne prenosioce parazita. Dijagnoza se postavlja koprološkim pregledom i uzimanjem briseva
mukoze creva (na sekciji). Terapija svinja se vrši primenom kokcidiostatika od kojih su se
najbolje pokazali toltrazuril, amprolijum i monensis i preparati na bazi sulfa jedinjenja.

AB  - Background. Trichinellosis is zoonotic disease caused by parasites of the genus Trichinella, which have a cosmopolitan distribution. In the Balkan region, including Serbia, trichinellosis is endemic. Although trichinellosis shows a decreasing incidence in Serbia, this disease remains a serious problem for human health and animal husbandry. Scope and Approach. To prevent and control Trichinella spp. infections in domestic and sylvatic animals, risk analysis for these zoonotic parasites should be conducted. In Serbia, a limited number of Trichinella have been identified to the species level so far. An institutional, multi-sectoral surveillance system, supported by an adequate legal framework for the detection, surveillance, prevention, control and reporting of this infection in animals and humans, harmonized with the EU legislation, is a priority. Key Findings and Conclusions. One of the main goals of the Serbian veterinary and public health services should be progressive improvement of animal rearing practices, food safety, and hunters' and consumers' education through the "One-health" approach.
AB  - Uvod. Trihineloza je zoonotska bolest uzrokovana parazitima roda Trichinella koji imaju kosmopolitsku rasprostranjenost. U regionu Balkana, uključujući Srbiju, trihineloza je endemska. Iako trihineloza pokazuje trend smanjenja učestalosti u Srbiji, ova bolest ostaje ozbiljan problem za zdravlje ljudi i stočarstvo. Cilj i pristup. Za sprečavanje i kontrolu infekcije domaćih i silvatičnih životinja trihinelama, treba sprovesti analizu rizika za ove zoonotske parazite. U Srbiji je do sada identifikovan ograničeni broj trihinela na nivou vrste. U tom smislu, priorit je institucionalni, multisektorski sistem nadzora, podržan odgovarajućim pravnim okvirom za otkrivanje, nadzor, prevenciju, kontrolu i izveštavanje o ovoj infekciji kod životinja i ljudi, usklađen sa zakonodavstvom EU. Ključni nalazi i zaključak. Jedan od glavnih ciljeva veterinarske i zdravstvene službe trebalo bi biti progresivno unapređenje prakse uzgoja životinja, bezbednost hrane i obrazovanja lovaca i potrošača kroz pristup "One-Health".

In the Balkan region, including Serbia, trichinellosis is endemic. To prevent and control Trichinella spp. infections in domestic and sylvatic animals, risk analysis for these zoonotic parasites should be conducted. In Serbia, a limited number of Trichinella have been identified to the species level so far. An institutional, multi-sectoral surveillance system, supported by an adequate legal framework for the detection, surveillance, prevention, control and reporting of this infection in animals and humans, harmonized with the EU legislation, is a priority. Trihineloza je zoonotska bolest uzrokovana parazitima roda Trichinella koji imaju kosmopolitsku rasprostranjenost. U regionu Balkana, uključujući Srbiju, trihineloza je endemska. Iako trihineloza pokazuje trend smanjenja učestalosti u Srbiji, ova bolest ostaje ozbiljan problem za zdravlje ljudi i stočarstvo. Cilj i pristup. AB  - In this article we presented body score condition of sows and
thin sow syndrome. In modern pig farming more and more attention is paid to body
condition score. On most commercial farms feeding of gilts and sows is based on
body condition. The goal is that sow does not gain or lose too much of a body
weight between farrowing and insemination. Maintenance of body weight
(condition) of sows within the optimum value (3 points in the time of farrowing
and 2.5 during mating) over their lifetime can result in optimal reproductive results.
In contrast, inadequate control of condition of the sow may lead to difficulty in
farrowing and occurrence of health problems. The syndrome of thin sows is a
disease of complex etiology. In 75% of cases, the main causes are qualitative and
quantitative malnutrition, also unfavorable housing conditions for sows. Less
frequently, the syndrome can be caused by presence of endoparasite
Hyostrongylusrubidus. In the presenting article during a year period, the
occurrence of weight loss in sows during lactation at one commercial farm was
observed. The health status of lactating sows and piglets were also registered. The
loss of body weight was mostly detected in sows in the second lactation.
Corrections in the feeding technology and better conditions for sows during
lactation period are crucial for managing the thin sow problem on the commercial
farm.

AB  - Za razliku od drugih vrsta životinja, kod svinja se cestode ne nalaze u adultnom obliku.
Međutim ova vrsta helminata je značajno prisutna kod svinja, ali u cističnom obliku. Svinje su
prelazni domaćini više vrsta cestoda od kojih su neke zoonotskog karaktera kao npr. Taenia solium
(svinjska bobica) ili Echinococcus granulosus. Infekcije cestoda prolaze najčešće neprimećeno i
uočavaju se tek nakon uginuća na sekciji ili na liniji klanja. U odnosu na druge parazitske infekcije
one ne nanose velike gubitke svinjarskoj proizvodnji, nema ih u intezivnom držanju i konačno
nema ih u većem obimu u zemljama sa razvijenom svinjarskom proizvodnjom. Ova obolenja su
većinom prisutna u Africi i Aziji, u ekstenzivnom i poluekstenzivnom držanju i samim tim
poprimaju lokalni značaj. Ipak, s obzirom na sve veći trend uvođenja organske proizvodnje svinja
nije na odmet ponovo se podsetiti ovih bolesti i očekivati ih i u razvijenim zemljama. Kao
najznačajnije i najčešće izdvaja se infekcije sa Taenia solium, Taenia hydatigena, Echinococcus
granulosus, Multiceps (Taenia) multiceps i Spirometra erinacei europei.

Are golden jackals (Canis aureus) definitive hosts for Angiostrongylus vasorum?

AB  - Angiostrongylosis caused by Angiostrongylus vasorum is an emerging disease in Europe. Recent reports have shown that, besides the red fox (Vulpes vulpes) recognized as the main definitive host and reservoir for the parasite, the role of the definitive host can be taken by a range of mammals. We considered that, due to the rapid large-scale expansion of its populations in Europe, the golden jackal (Canis aureus) could assume an important role in the epidemiology of the disease. The aim of the investigations was to explore the role of the golden jackal as the definitive host for A. vasorum. Sixty-three golden jackals, legally hunted in lowlands around the Danube River in Serbia recognized as the core area of the species distribution in Europe, were subjected to patho-morphological and parasitological examination. The adult forms of A. vasorum were detected in the pulmonary arteries in six golden jackals with gross lesions manifested in the lungs. The finding of first stage larvae (L1) of A. vasorum in microscopic smears of the lung tissue altered by infection, which was consistent with the presence of adult parasites and manifestation of gross lesions in the lungs, confirms the successful reproduction of the parasite in the golden jackal. Migration of L1 from the blood vessels to the airways was confirmed by histopathology and, subsequently, their shedding was demonstrated by the Baermann method. The results support the hypothesis that the golden jackal acts as a suitable definitive host for A. vasorum. As a definitive host with a large-scale expansion of its populations in Europe, the golden jackal may be an important part of the parasites host repertoire by spreading the parasite into previously non-endemic areas and by being an additional definitive host in endemic areas of vulpine angiostrongylosis.

AB  - Cirkovirusne infekcije svinja predstavljaju zdravstveni problem, novijeg su
datuma i danas zaokupljaju pažnju velikog broja svetskih istraživača. Problem cirkovirusne
infekcije i danas predstavlja značajnu nepoznanicu odnosno prazninu
u veterinarskom saznanju, kako u svetu, tako i u domaćoj stručnoj javnosti. Bolest
izazvana svinjskim cirkovirusom tipa 2 (PCV-2) je prvi put opisana još 1997.
godine u Kanadi i relativno brzo se proširila po svetu. Od opštih preventivnih mera,
važnu ulogu imaju primena karantina, principa “sve napolje sve unutra”, sistema
pranja i dezinfekcije, kao i adekvatan odmor objekta. Danas je vakcinacija
značajna i veoma aktuelna metoda kontrole cirkovirusnih infekcija u svinjarskoj
proizvodnji.

abstract = "Cirkovirusne infekcije svinja predstavljaju zdravstveni problem, novijeg su
datuma i danas zaokupljaju pažnju velikog broja svetskih istraživača. Problem cirkovirusne
infekcije i danas predstavlja značajnu nepoznanicu odnosno prazninu
u veterinarskom saznanju, kako u svetu, tako i u domaćoj stručnoj javnosti. Bolest
izazvana svinjskim cirkovirusom tipa 2 (PCV-2) je prvi put opisana još 1997.
godine u Kanadi i relativno brzo se proširila po svetu. Od opštih preventivnih mera,
važnu ulogu imaju primena karantina, principa “sve napolje sve unutra”, sistema
pranja i dezinfekcije, kao i adekvatan odmor objekta. Danas je vakcinacija
značajna i veoma aktuelna metoda kontrole cirkovirusnih infekcija u svinjarskoj
proizvodnji.",

AB  - Mycoplasma bovis infection in grazing dairy cows has not been reported in the Republic of Serbia to date. It is important to monitor its seroprevalence on the field. The presence of specific antibodies against M bovis in the blood serum of grazing daily cows is investigated in the present study. A total of 131 blood serum samples of clinically healthy dairy cows were examined. Sampling was performed during 2013 from five different areas in Serbia: Zasavica, Pozarevac, Gruza, Novi Sad and Banatski Karlovac. A commercial ELISA kit for diagnosis of M bovis antibodies in blood serum samples, manufactured by Bio-X Diagnostics, Belgium, was used. Specific antibodies against M. bovis were identified in 13 out of 131 samples (9.92%) from 4 locations; the only negative location was the most southern Gruza. The revealed seroprevalence is evidence for the presence of M. bovis in grazing dairy cows in different locations of Serbia.

AB  - Paramphistomosis is a parasitic disease that in goats and rarely cause P.cervi and P.microbothrium. During the investigations conducted in the period 2012-2014 at several locations in Serbia, the prevalence ranged from 2.75-15.43%. Adult parasites were localized in the rumen and reticulum, immature in the duodenum or abomazus. Acute or intestinal pharamphistomosis occurs in young animals. It is caused by juvenile forms of the parasite. It occurs acute necrotizing hemorrhagic duodenitis, usually 2 -3 weeks after infection. The lining of the pyloric and duodenal rennet are edematous, catarrhal with bloody mucus, and a large number of parasites. Blood vessels are overfilled with blood. Diagnosis is made by stool examination and autopsy and histological examination determination by Nesmark-in.
AB  - Paramfistomoza je parazitsko obolenje koje kod koza uzrokuju P.cervi a rede i P.microbothrium. Tokom istraživanja radenih u periodu 2012-2014 na više lokaliteta u Srbiji, prevalenca je varirala od 2.75-15.43%. Odrasli paraziti su lokalizovani u rumenu i retikulumu, nezreli u duodenumu ili abomazusu. Akutna ili crevna paramfistomoza se javlja kod mladih životinja. Izazivaju je juvenilni oblici parazita. Nastaje akutni nekroticni hemoragicni duodenitis, najčešće 2 -3 nedelje po infekciji. Sluznica pilorusa sirista i duodenuma su edematozne, kataralne sa krvavom sluzi i velikim brojem parazita. Krvni sudovi su prepunjeni krvlju. Dijagnoza se postavlja koprološkim pregledom i obdukcijom a determinacija histološkim pregledom po Nesmark-u.
